Trap Rental Program

Pennsauken’s Trap Rental Program, in conjunction with the Community Cat Program, makes available traps to residents who are managing a feral cat colony on their property. Residents who participate in this program are responsible for maintaining and operating the trap; humanely capturing community cats on their property; securing appointments for the cats they trap to be spayed/neutered; and before and after care of the animal.

If you are a resident of Pennsauken Township and are participating in the Community Cat Program, traps can be reserved online. Reserved traps can be picked up and dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd. An important reminder for residents managing a colony as part of Pennsauken’s Community Cat Program: feral cats must be contained to your property and colony. If feral cats become a nuisance to your neighbors, animal control does have the authority to trap and remove cats from neighboring property.

If a Township trap is lost, stolen, or damaged, a fee will be assessed to the resident so that the trap can be replaced.

You have the option of printing out the Trap Loaner and Indemnification Agreement (PDF) to bring with you, or one will be provided at your appointment.
